RESEARCH PROJECT/Presentation and Final Paper (20%) (5-7 pages).( PLEASE FIND ATTACHED RUBRIC!)
This will require students to develop a theological research paper (with proposal, annotated bibliography and Final Paper) that investigates an ultimate question and uses critical race theory to inform the theological process. Students will also step back and reflect on the significance of Black and Womanist theology for raising questions of ultimate concern. Be able to analyze the meaning of theological ideas and religious institutions in light of one or more disciplines that inform, explicate, or challenge these ideas. USE JSTOR SOURCES!

BASIC DEFINITIONS FOR THE WORK OF THE COURSE
WE ARE ALL WHOLE HUMAN BEINGS IN PROCESS (P.I.E.S.S.)
All relationships, experiences, events can be described using these categories. As you read, watch and write, be sure the address at least three of these categories.
FAITH: A relationship/experience with the divine (that which is larger/other than yourself)
THEOLOGY: The words we use to describe that relationship/experience
BELIEFS: The gathering and agreement(s) of those who are of like-mind/ or like-experience.
SPIRITUALITY IS FAITH LIVED As such, it encompasses the totality of personal and collective responses to religious belief – relationships, morality, worship, and daily living. As Christians we strive to understand and to act in a way that makes us part of the reality that is the will and purpose of God. We strive to let ourselves feel, remember … that which we believe. Spirituality, then is operative on cognitive, affective and volitional levels: It encompasses the whole person – their mind, heart and will.
