Write an empirical research paper (3000-4000 words), which poses a research question derived from the literature, discusses the relevant literature, develops the theory, and the research design. You are NOT required to gather data and analyze it. The research paper is practically half of a standard scientific article. My topic is the electoral system, and the research question is how does migration influence European countries elections. The introduction should provide a discussion of the puzzle you want to address and the underlying research question (state the puzzle and the research question directly). Derive your research question form the literature. Try to situate the research question within the existing literature by identifying the gap you would like to address. Think about what would be your contribution.
